I can’t believe that it’s been a year since I wrote a blog! I’ve had a busy year, though, and blogging was not on my mind!

I found out two days ago (Tuesday) that one of my favorite vendors, From Marti (Marti Michell), is closing at the end of this month. There comes a time when people have to make hard decisions, and this is one of them. Marti Michell has put her 100% into her quilting business for over 50 years, and now the time has come for her to retire and hopefully relax I love every template, book, and pattern that she has offered over the years. I really love her template sets! I use them a lot, every time I create a quilt! They are accurate, which helps when sewing pieces together. I can’t be without my Marti Michell templates. I just placed my last order with From Marti this morning, which makes me sad. I will miss her products so much.

Marti Michell has had a major impact on the quilting world. Her knowledge, expertise, and ideas for new, innovative quilting tools and products are second to none, in my opinion. Her organizational thoughts jive with mine, and maybe that is why I love her methods so much! I have talked with her on occasion about making new templates that I wanted because her mind is so much like mine! She has the know-how on producing templates and what manufacturer to produce them is the best (a company in the U. S.!). I am sure that I am not the only one feeling sad about the end of this era.

For those of you reading this blog, if you want any of the From Marti templates that I have on my website, do not hesitate to order them. I will not be able to get them once I run out.
